80th Anniversary
_______________________________________________________
Opening on 13 July 1932 when Robert Atkins and Sydney Carroll presented a ‘black and white’ production of Twelfth Night, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is now celebrating its 80th anniversary.
Today, with a purpose built auditorium, picnic lawn, barbecue and a string of awards to its name, this unique theatre has become “an essential summer destination” (Evening Standard). For this anniversary season, “this exceptional space has been transformed into a world you’d never imagined” (Daily Telegraph) for a big fat gypsy telling of
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the Tony Award-winning musical, Ragtime.
For one week either side of the 80th Anniversary, we are also offering a top price ticket for £19.32!*
More information about the theatre’s history can be found on our
history page.
*Tickets bookable online only for performances 9 – 21 July (excl. Saturday evenings) until 5pm, Sunday 15 July*.
